About the Firm

We serve clients all across the great State of South Dakota, from the first concern to closing arguments.

Meet Aaron Pilcher

Aaron is a Blackstone Fellow with the Alliance Defending Freedom, a former Ronald W. Reagan Fellow at Eureka College, and the founding attorney at Pilcher Law Firm. Aaron focuses his practice on business law, estate matters, family law and general litigation, including a host of other issues to meet his clients' needs.

Aaron is a founding member of the Beadle County Drug Court, serving as its defense attorney consultant. Drug Court is part of a larger statewide system of problem solving courts designed to help individuals identified as “high risk / high need.” Once sentenced to drug court, completion of the program becomes a necessary component of their probation. The program is changing lives, improving the community, and Aaron is proud to be a part of it.

As part of the Bar Commission, Aaron served on the committee that evaluated the feasibility of creating a full-time equivalent position managing programs and services designed to assist lawyers and law students dealing with substance abuse, mental health, stress and anxiety, and other similar issues.

Before practicing law, Aaron directed a statewide political campaign for the U.S. Senate. Aaron oversaw fundraising and campaign finance matters, communications and media strategy, scheduling and event planning, GOTV (get-out-the-vote), and other emergent needs.

Aaron grew up on a hobby farm in Southern Minnesota, where he participated in sports and other activities. In 2008, Aaron received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eureka College, Magna Cum Laude, as a member of the Honors Program. In 2013, Aaron received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota School of Law with High Honor.

Aaron lives in Huron with his wife and their three children.
